Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which sprawls across a 25 acre property. The orphanage established in the year 1975 to rehabilitate and provide care to injured and orphaned elephants, it has since expanded to house a herd of 70 over jumbos. The highlight of the visit, will be the daily bath sessions which the elephants enjoy down by the river.

After having your breakfast proceed to Peradeniya botanical garden which is located near the biggest river in Sri Lanka called Mahaweli River. Also it was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres and has over 4000 an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers.
